When I saw this Johnny Appleseed Hard Cider commercial during whatever TV shows I was binging on (please don’t tell me it was the Hallmark channel), I nearly peed my pants with excitement. For starters, I dig cider. As a non-beer drinking and not really a lover of spending a boat load on hard liquor, cider is the perfect mix. It can be tart or it can be deliciously sugary and you can leave where ever you were thinking I didn’t spend a lot and I just drank candy. For seconders of why I nearly peed myself, I am currently having a love affair with the song in the commercial so even though all you hear is the instrumental I was like OMG, I KNOW THIS SONG! LIKE IR EALLY KNOW IT!

The song in this Johnny Appleseed Hard Cider commercial is “Jealous (I Ain’t With It)” by Chromeo. Chromeo is the Canadian electro-funk duo of David Macklovitch and Patrick Gemayel. Macklovitch’s younger brother has reached his own fame with Duck Sauce, so it’s only natural that Chromeo would come out on top as well. You can get their latest album, White Women – Chromeo, now on iTunes and make sure to check out their website, Facebook and Twitter so stay up to date on the latest info.

Lyrics
I got strung up from our loving
I wish you cared to see
But she only cares when she’s got the time
And I fret so much about our loving
I wish she let me be
But our destiny got us intertwined

And is it really my fault
I get a shiver when I see you with those other guys
Wearing the jacket I bought
I can’t help but lose my temper and I don’t know why

I get jealous, but I’m too cool to admit it
When the fellas, talk to my girl I ain’t with it
I get jealous, but I’m too cool to admit it
When the fellas, talk to my girl I ain’t with it
I ain’t with it, I ain’t with it, I ain’t with it
I ain’t with it, I ain’t with it, I ain’t with it
I ain’t with it, I ain’t with it, I ain’t with it
I ain’t with it, I ain’t with it, I ain’t with it

What is she thinking, too much uncertainty
Why can’t she give some sort of sign
You know and I know, a thing about loyalty

I get strung up from her loving
I wish she cared to see
But she only cares when she so inclined
And I fret so much about her loving
I wish she’d let me be
But her destiny got us so intertwined
Back in 2011, I decided
To not let this play with my mind
But when the boys from out of town
They come back around
I feel like committing a crime, yeah
